AN EVENING IN MYKONOS | ROSEGAL REVIEW

I need to start this post by addressing a few things. 1. Mykonos is BEAUTIFUL. 2. I am so full of pasta writing this post this I may just be the happiest human alive. 3. This Rosegal dress is possibly the most comfortable bodycon I have ever owned. But more on all of the above points later.

I've not been to Greece since I was a kid and Mykonos is not one of the Island's I'd ever been to. Before visiting, I'd looked through pictures of the dreamy narrow streets with their clean white walls, contrasted against sparkling blue oceans. It's one of those places which you never expect could possibly look as good in person as it does in the glossy pictures online. How wrong I was! Every street is so beautiful and you're never more than 5 minutes away from the clear blue sea. It's such a breathtaking place.

We stayed in Mykonos for a week and on one of the evenings decided to venture into the little town for some dinner. It was my turn to pick the restaurant and I opted for a cute little outdoor taverna called Familia. I'll be honest, I was mostly attracted to it by its decor - with golden lanterns and purple blossoms hanging on beams above head, it was too pretty to miss out on. After a huge plate of carbonara, I was ready to slip into the most content food coma and stare up at the dreamy ceiling.

One of my favourite things to do on holiday is dress up a little bit for evenings out. It's a chance to wear all of the super summery clothes that I buy back home and instantly regret, because the weather in the UK is NEVER nice enough for me to wear them. I was recently, very kindly, asked by Rosegal if I was interested in picking a few items from their site. I of course said yes, because everything they sell is completely my style and so, so affordable. This bodycon dress was one of the items I chose. I've been trying to step out of my comfort zone with outfits lately and bodycon dresses are one thing which have always been a no go for me. I'm so glad I took the plunge and opted for this one though. It was such a flattering length and cut, and the material is thin and stretchy enough that I felt completely comfortable wearing it in the heat of Mykonos.

Mykonos is such a beautiful island, and I'm so happy I've had the chance to tick it off of my bucket list. Keep an eye on the blog if you're interested in seeing some more photos from the week. There are plenty more to come!
