CHRISTCHURCH

I cannot get enough of exploring Dorset at the moment. Having lived here for almost three years now, I'm very aware of the fact that my time here has almost come to an end, and I'm running out of time to explore all of the gorgeous places which are currently right on my doorstep. I need to take advantage of all of these places, and make sure I get to see them all before my time runs out here.

With this in mind, this week, myself and Jordan headed to Christchurch, one of my favourite towns to explore in Dorset, to get some snaps, and grab a coffee. Christchurch is somewhere in Dorset I have already been to a handful of times, but it makes me smile every time I'm there. A quaint little high street with lots of tiny homeware stores and plenty of coffee shops to pick from, alongside a river and some old castle ruins, make the town a really cute one to pay a visit to. It definitely makes a change from the busy student vibe that Bournemouth gives off! Considering it's only a 15 minute drive away, Christchurch feels very closed off from student life.

After battling the weird weather conditions (it was sunny one minute and pouring with rain the next), we managed to grab some good shots, and headed to the highstreet to find a coffee shop. We decided on Heartizans Deli, a tiny deli with only four tables situated in its small interior. Delicious looking homemade and freshly sourced ingredients lined all the walls and the counters, giving the place a really intimate and friendly feel. I had my eyes set on some brightly coloured macaroons the whole time we were in there! I ordered goats cheese and caramalised onion toast and a pot of chai tea. The food in there was just what the doctor ordered, and we were grateful of the opportunity to warm our freezing fingers!

My task for myself for my remaining few months in Bournemouth is to explore as much as possible. It's not long before the next chapter in my life starts, I need to make the most of this one before it ends!
